Prior to that, Nelson held several progressively senior positions at Fluke Corporation, a Fortive Company. His experience there included roles in product management, sales, and commercial strategy.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Lewis is a U.S. Army combat veteran and a former federal intelligence officer. He completed two combat tours in Iraq and three in Afghanistan. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in history from Augsburg University, where he competed in NCAA Division III football and javelin in track and field. Nelson succeeds Scott Steinhardt, who served as Stertil-Koni president for the past three years. According to the announcement, Steinhardt is departing to pursue a new venture in building a family business outside the heavy-duty vehicle lifting industry.

“We are delighted to welcome Lewis as president and are very impressed with his background in the heavy-duty lifting industry," Marcel Jansen, marketing and sales director/chief commercial officer for the Stertil Group, said. "We know he will continue to drive the success and growth of Stertil-Koni for the benefit of our distributors, customers, and employees across North America.”
